Using Soll
These terms govern your use of the Soll application. By downloading, installing, or using Soll, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Your content
Books you import into Soll remain your responsibility. You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to read and store any file you import, whether from your own device, a connected library, or a third-party source accessed through Discover.
Public-domain and third-party content
Soll's Discover feature surfaces books from independent public-domain and open-access libraries: Project Gutenberg, Open Library, Standard Ebooks, and Feedbooks. Soll is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these organizations. Public-domain status reflects United States copyright law at the time of writing and may differ in your country. You are responsible for confirming that downloading and reading a given title is lawful where you live.
If you believe a title available through Discover is not lawfully in the public domain, please contact us using the details below so we can review it.
Connected libraries
If you connect Soll to a Calibre server or other OPDS catalog you control, you're responsible for the content and configuration of that server. Soll only facilitates the connection; it does not host or moderate content on servers you connect.
Subscriptions & Purchases
Soll offers optional premium features through monthly, yearly, or one-time lifetime purchase across Android, Apple, Windows, and Linux.
- For mobile and platform app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store), subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, managed through your platform account settings.
- Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Refunds are handled according to the respective platform store's refund policies (e.g. Google Play or Apple App Store policies).
- If a subscription lapses, previously created content — your highlights, bookmarks, and library — remains accessible; only new premium-tier actions are restricted.
Parental controls
Soll's Safe Discovery filter helps reduce mature content in Discover results based on available catalog metadata. This filter cannot guarantee all mature content is identified, since it relies on third-party source data. Parents and guardians should use their own judgment alongside this feature.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Soll to distribute content you don't have the right to distribute, to circumvent any content protections, or to misuse Connected Libraries or Discover features to access content unlawfully.
No warranty
Soll is provided as is. We work to keep it stable and accurate, but we don't guarantee the app, or any third-party content accessed through it, will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Soll after a change means you accept the updated terms.
