The Short Version
We built Morser to be a reliable, offline-first tactical tool. By using Morser, you agree to use it responsibly. While it includes emergency beacon features (SOS via flashlight/audio), it is not a certified life-saving device and should not be solely relied upon in critical emergencies. We don't track you, we don't show ads, and we respect your privacy.
1. Using Morser
These terms govern your use of the Morser application. By downloading, installing, or using Morser, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. Emergency & Distress Features (Disclaimer)
Morser includes features designed to output SOS distress signals using your device's camera flash, screen, and speaker. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Morser is an educational and utility application. It is not a substitute for professional, certified emergency beacons (like PLBs, EPIRBs, or satellite communicators) or direct contact with emergency services.
- We make no guarantees regarding the visibility, audibility, or effectiveness of the distress signals generated by your specific device hardware.
- In a true emergency, you should prioritize standard communication channels before relying on visual or audio Morse code.
3. Hardware Usage
Continuous use of the flashlight, maximum brightness screen, and audio outputs can rapidly deplete your device's battery and cause the device to heat up. You are responsible for managing your device's battery life, especially when entering situations where emergency signaling might be required.
4. Purchases and Refunds
Morser may offer premium features via a one-time purchase. Purchases are processed by the respective app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play). Refunds are governed by the policies of those stores. Muraimai does not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds directly.
5. App Permissions
Morser requests access to the Camera (specifically the flashlight) and Vibration services strictly for the purpose of transmitting Morse code signals. Morser does not capture photos, record video, or access the microphone. We do not track location or network state.
6. Limitation of Liability
Morser is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We work to keep it stable and accurate, but we don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. In no event shall Muraimai be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the application.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Morser after a change means you accept the updated terms.
